What is NOW?

"NOW stands for the National Organization for Women. NOW’s purpose is to take action through intersectional grassroots activism to promote feminist ideals, lead societal change, eliminate discrimination, and achieve and protect the equal rights of all women and girls in all aspects of social, political, and economic life. The National Organization for Women is the largest organization of feminist grassroots activists in the United States."

What are their Core Issues?

The National Organization for Women Inc focuses on multiple issues in regards to women's rights! Their core issues are; Reproductive Rights, Economic Justice, Ending Violence Against Women, Racial Justice, LGBTQIA+ Rights, and Constitutional Equality.  

What do they do?

They strive to eliminate discrimination and harassment in the workplace, schools, the justice system, and all other sectors of society, secure abortion, birth control and reproductive rights for all women, end all forms of violence against women, eradicate racism, sexism, homophobia, and other forms of discrimination, and promote equality and justice in our society.

 

Malala Fund

What is the Malala Fund and what is their core issue?

Malala was created to make sure that all girls are able to go to school. Their goal is to make sure that all girls go to a safe school, for 12 years, getting a quality education, for free. 

How do they do it?  

"Malala Fund invests in education advocates and activists who are challenging the policies and practices that prevent girls from going to school in their communities." Right now Malala fund is working with 8 countries helping by challenging the beliefs, behaviors and legislation that prevent girls from going to school and learning on equal terms with boys.
